Stony Creek Elementary School invites all fourth and fifth grade students to participate in the choral program. Students are not required to audition to participate in chorus. All fourth and fifth grade students are welcome to join.

Chorus members experience the following concepts: vocal warm-up procedures, principles of individual tone production, principles of choral singing, musical interpretation, musical skills, and rehearsal technique.

Chorus members perform at a Winter Concert and Spring Musical.

Chorus rehearsals are scheduled before school. Parents/guardians must provide transportation for their child to school on their assigned chorus day. Fifth grade chorus rehearses every Tuesday, from 7:50 – 8:30 AM.

Fourth grade chorus rehearses every Wednesday from 7:50 AM – 8:30 AM. Students are asked to arrive at 7:45 AM on their scheduled rehearsal day. Mrs. Papadopoulos and Ms. Gordon meet chorus students in the main lobby of the building and escort them to the music room. In accordance with district policy, if there is a delayed school opening, early morning rehearsals will be canceled.

Additional rehearsals are often scheduled before or after school prior to a performance.
